Today we had added our first post to Iris! This is a place where students can display their work and add comments to it online. Students made a short video of how hearing works, then posted it to Iris. You can find Iris through the Links page on our grade website or go to iris.cbe.ab.ca
We also began the next step of our mapping investigation. Students examined a map of the school and looked at what similarities and differences there were with the classroom map. We build criteria together and decided we needed to have a legend, a compass and title on our map. Ask your student what kind of information we can find on a legend.
Students will be performing at the Remembrance Day Assembly on November 10th at 10am. Parents are welcome to attend! In order to perform our best it would be wonderful if you could practice these songs at home:
In Flanders Fields

Cover the World with Love

And now for a message from Parent's Council!
Hallowe’en Howl | Friday, October 28 2-4pm
It’s time for the Evergreen School Hallowe’en Howl! Join us from 2:00-4:00pm on Friday November 28, 2016 for a howling good time.
There will be a DJ, concession (pizza, snacks & beverages available for purchase…bring your loonies and toonies), arts & crafts, games, and most importantly - don’t forget to wear your costumes!!!
There will no tickets or cost to the event this year. Due to the growing size of our school this event is limited to current Evergreen students and their immediate family only. All students must be accompanied and supervised by a parent during this event.
We need lots of help to make this event a success! If you are able to help please click on the following link to sign up https://www.volunteersignup.org/P4Y3B
Have a wonderful night!
