Today we continued to work on our Van Gogh art study by starting our Sunflower pieces. We discussed how Van Gogh used bright, complementary colours to make the colours pop. Students took their rough sketches from last week and expanded them to fill a large piece of paper. Our next step is to add oil pastels and final details!
This afternoon we continued our discussion of rocks by learning about igneous rocks! We watched a variety of videos to help us discover how igneous rocks are formed. Ask your student what the difference between magma and lava is!
Some quick reminders!
Have a wonderful evening!

- Tomorrow is Stephen's Backpack. We will be going to the Learning Commons to look at the toys and books for sale. If students are interested can bring some cash to purchase items. Items are usually $1-$5.
- I have been looking at upcoming field trips after the Winter Break! We are going to the Bell Music Centre on January 18th, Fish Creek Park on January 31st and skating at the Olympic Oval on February 6th, 8th and 14th. I will need some parent volunteers for all of these trips! If you would like to join us please send me an email with the date and field trip that you are able to join us with.
Have a wonderful evening!
