Today we began using our animal research to begin building some non-fiction paragraphs about our animals. Students were given two different options for an opening statement, and had to write one of each. Tomorrow they will get two more options and will pick their favourite kind!
This afternoon students had their final buddy time! Grade ones joined us with their visual journals, and we built a picture frame on a new page. The frame contained drawings of things our buddy likes to do (read, play soccer, play with fidget toys, etc.). Mrs. Caravan and myself then gave students a picture of them with their buddies to put inside the frame. The pictures turned out wonderfully, ask your student what their favourite part of working with their buddy was!
We also played a game of Capture the Flag: Frisbee Edition with Mr. MacKenzie's class! It was great to enjoy the beautiful weather!
Have a wonderful evening!
