Tomorrow is the big day! This afternoon students rehearsed our musical, “ROCK”, getting it ready for our performances tomorrow. Students will perform at:
2:00pm ROCK (performance for school community and guests)
6:10pm HANDBELLS (Handbell Players please arrive at school by 5:45pm)
6:30pm ROCK (performers please arrive at school by 6:10)
If you have a character part (Elvis, dancer, etc.) please find something at home to wear that fits that part. Girls, please wear something 1950's/60's (skirts, leggings, high ponytail). Boys, anything rock or beachy! Students can bring their costumes to school in their bags, they will be given time after lunch to change before our afternoon performance.
Today students looked at deforestation in honour of Earth Day on Saturday. We discussed how each tree produces 30 L of oxygen per day, and each person uses 300 L of oxygen each day. How many trees does each person need to have enough oxygen for one day? We also read about Wangari Maathai, a Kenyan activist who was responsible for planting millions of trees. Ask your student what they can do to reduce our paper use!
Reminders:
Have a wonderful evening! I hope to see you all tomorrow evening!
