Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend in the snow and has lots of turkey leftovers!
Today we continued to learn about story beginnings by adding onomatopoeia and sound effects at the start! Students wrote some wonderful "keep reading" beginnings! This afternoon our buddies came by and we read a book, Not a Box, and talked about how simple shapes can be found in many things. Students then used a circle to create a more complex image. Ask your student what they made, and what their buddies name is! After our buddies left we continued our study of hearing by watching a few videos and taking notes on how the ear works. We will be continuing this for a few days, culminating in building our ears! Ask your student what is the purpose of the outer ear, middle ear or inner ear.
Some quick reminders:
1) Thursday is Picture Day! A form was sent home today, please send them back to school by Thursday.
2) October Scholastic orders are due on Friday, October 21
Have a wonderful evening!
