Today students continued writing their paragraphs for their Calgary structure. We have progressed to typing up the rough drafts on Microsoft Word, then printing them out to edit. We will be continuing to write these paragraphs for the rest of the week.
This afternoon Mr. MacKenzie joined us again for a science experiment! We explored arches, and identified where we can find them, both in man-made and natural structures. We then decided that we can classify them into two kinds: round and square. Mr. MacKenzie helped us test the two kinds to see which was strongest. We also discussed fair tests once more, and how we can make sure that we are keeping our variables the same. Ask your student what types of arches there are, and which is the strongest! Can you find any arches at home?
Quick reminders!
Have a wonderful evening!
