Happy Pi Day! We had a quick discussion about how the number pi (3.14) helps us during geometry, especially when we're looking at a circle. Then we discussed why today is pi day, and how many digits pi has! Did you know that a scientist calculated pi to two quadrillion digits? Whoa!
This morning students continued their India research, reading information on different aspects of India and then writing the important facts on puzzle pieces.
This afternoon was VERY busy as we finally began constructing our buildings! Students used cardboard, tape, glue and all sorts of recycling to start forming walls, towers and roofs. The buildings are looking pretty amazing so far, I cannot wait to see how they look when they are complete!
Some students had knitting club today at lunch. Mrs. Leonard has sent a link for video instructions if students have questions at home! www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZ_dxbP9K84
Have a wonderful evening!
