Today we continued our understanding of multiplication by looking at a times table. Students filled in numbers up to 5x5 and made the connection that it was just skip counting! Then students combined their knowledge of subtraction and multiplication to decide what candy they would like for a gingerbread house, and subtract the cost from their budget of $200. Ask your student what was difficult about the activity, and how they persevered through it.
This afternoon we began a special project! Students are combining art, science and writing to make it. We hope that it will be done by Friday so students can bring it home!
