Today we started talking about number lines! We discussed what numbers can and cannot go on a number line, as well as where they begin and end. Students were then challenged to work together to place numbers from 0-30 on a number line. Mrs. Roworth and I were very impressed with the discussions we heard! We have decided that we are going to create a school number line with numbers students find in their everyday life. If you see a number (of any kind!) while out, please take a picture of it and email it to me at [email protected]. We will print out the number and then place it on our school number line!
We also began a new social studies project. Students will research what school looks like in another country, and then use their knowledge to write a series of journal entries from another perspective. Ask your student what country they would like to choose!
Lots of reminders today!
