Good afternoon!
Today the students practiced finding the setting, characters and problem/solution of a story through Pixar. We watched a Pixar video short and then in groups deconstructed it to find all of these story elements. Ask your student what the video was about and what happened at the end!
We also began to practice telling time. We watched a quick video on the purpose of the minute and hour hand, then built a clock as a class. Students used practice clocks to build different times and tried to stump their partner! Ask your student what the short and long hands are used for on a clock.
Some quick reminders:
- There is NO SCHOOL this Friday, October 7 (PD Day) or Monday, October 10 (Thanksgiving)
- Picture Day is Thursday, October 13
