This morning we read Who Would Win? Killer Whale vs. Great White Shark. Students took notes about the characteristics of each animal as we read, and then used their notes to make a prediction of who would win, and write three reasons why. There was a lot of wonderful discussion about which animal would win, and students were thrilled with the outcome. Ask your student who won and why!
We also continued our learning of fractions today. We watched a quick video that reviewed what we learned yesterday, then used the SmartBoard to make our own fractions. Students then partnered up and used dice to make fractions and draw them on the whiteboards. Ask your student which number is the numerator, and which is the denominator tonight!
Just a quick reminder to send in your field trip forms by Monday!
Have a wonderful evening,
- Ms. Bell
