Wow! It is the last week before break already! Time has flown this year!
Today students continued to practice their touch typing skills through the DanceMat Typing program. I was thrilled to see that most students are using home-row typing in all of their keyboard work now! This skill will help students become more efficient typists in the future, and assist students in their writing.
This afternoon students were exposed to multiplication! We discussed the different names for multiplication (times, times tables, product, altogether, multiples) and three strategies for getting started. Students then played a quick dice game to help them practice either repeated addition, equal groups or skip counting. Students were very excited to begin practicing this skill, and paid very close attention to their numbers to ensure accuracy.
Quick reminders!
Have a wonderful evening!
