Happy St. Paddy's Day!
Today students wrapped up their Fish Creek field trip by comparing the two sections of Fish Creek and deciding what makes each section different (for example, the west has more coniferous trees then the east, etc.) and what makes them the same (we saw chickadees in both). Students then decided on one animal, the coyote.
We will be using the coyote as our animal for our artist in residence project in the middle of April. Students are very excited to become artists and have their art project installed at the Fish Creek Educational Centre. To help us learn what a coyote looks like students used Google drawing to collaborate on a document where they added pictures and questions. We have now sent this to the artist as a reference!
Have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy the sun and the heat tomorrow!
