Today students continued discussing Earth Day (which is tomorrow!), and explored how paper is recycled and remade into new paper products. Ask your student how long the process takes.
We were also lucky enough to have Mr. Wong, an Arctic engineer, visit the school and talk about his work building bridges over water. Students learned about how piles are constructed to support the bridge, and different types of bridges (including floating, ice and some future concepts!). Ask your student what they found the most interesting!
Quick notes!

- Grade 3 Artist in Residence - We will need lots of adult hands to help with this project! Students will be creating glass mosaics, and we need lots of help cutting glass! The dates of the project are April 24-May 5, every day at 9am. If you are able to join us for any date please send me an email. Thank you very much!
- Please have your student wear some older clothes on Monday for our artist-in-residence!
