Dear Families,
Today's word of the day was focus. Throughout the day we reflected about our actions, how do they impact our learning and what steps do we need to take in order to focus and be successful.
During Daily 5, students examined what works best for their learning and applied it. We reflected after each station identifying all the good choices we made and how it impacts our learning. We then took the observations we made and applied them to the rest of our day.
This afternoon students were introduced to the next step in our mapping investigation. They met in partners, checking over the criteria and identifying strengths in their work and areas to improve. After receiving the feedback, students then applied that feedback to their maps of the school. We will be using these maps of the school to create a "treasure map" or geocache. I briefly chatted what a geocache is. It would make a great opportunity to explore Calgary in a fun and safe way.
The grade 3's will be putting on the Remembrance Day Assembly. Parents are more then welcome to come and attend. It will have a different tone than usual assemblies as it is for Remembrance Day.
Mrs. Hendersen has provided some links to help the students prepare for their performance.

Question of the day:
What is the purpose of Daily 5?
Have a great night!
