Fish Creek Park was a huge success!
Students were bundled and prepared for the cold.
We were group A. For the morning, students generated a variety of questions that they would like to know about Fish Creek park. We shared our questions and decided on one: How do animal adapt to the extreme cold temperatures.
Using warm water, students devise a plan and created insulators to control the temperature of the water. We then went outside put the one container in the insulator followed by the second sample just on the snow. After a few minutes, we compared them to determine how animals might adapt to the cold. We went on a guided tour exploring the different habitats in the cold weather.
In the afternoon, students went with the volunteer on an outdoor scavenger hunt.
Reminder, please send in field trip for for skating in.
Thanks,
Have a wonderful evening!
