Dear Families,
What a fantastic day!
This morning students examined samples of writing letters. They identified what they liked in each letter and generated criteria of what would make a 4 in their eyes. Students came to the conclusion that they needed to add more description and extend their letters further.
This afternoon, students had music. Mrs. Hendersen was pleased and proud how their songs are coming along! Well done room 74! She is requesting that on the day of the assembly, November 10, that students wear red, black and or white clothing with no words or symbols.
Today was special lunch.
I had several students ask me how the process works. I have attached a the link. https://www.healthyhunger.ca/
The 10th Annual Veterans Food Bank campaign is looking for non-perishable food donations in Calgary. Much of the food collected for veterans in need of all ages comes from schools. Our Evergreen School collection started at the Halloween Howl and will continue until the Remembrance Day assembly on Nov. 10. Please bring all donations to the boxes in the foyer. Thanks for your generosity to Canadian veteran
Question of the day:
How is Remembrance Day related to Quality of Life?
Have a great night.
