I hope you had a restful weekend.
In writing we have returned back to story writing. We are currently focusing on providing vivid description to our settings in order to maintain the reader's attention.
Rocks, rocks and more rocks. Today, students were shown a variety of pictures and posed with the questions:
How are these rocks formed?
How do you know it is a rock?
After examining and discussing several pictures, students then completed the K and W to a KWL chart. We created a set criteria of what is expected and also how to blast off. Students were very creative and thoughtful in generating opened ended questions, versus basic.
Question of the day:
How are hoodoos formed?
Have a wonderful evening!
