It is hard to believe that it is already May 1st!
This morning students learned a new form of laying their tiles for the mosaic visual art. We began to lay them for the back drop. Our artists commented how focused we were and she was impressed with out work ethic. Ask your child how we are laying the tiles for the backdrop.
In the afternoon, we had it jammed packed with learning!
We first reset our numbers for our number lines to be more challenging and provoke more thought. We will be sharing them with another class to challenge them.
We then review what makes something living and non-living. We went outside and charted various things we saw outside based on the criteria. It was quite interesting as we know trees are living, but it seemed they didn't quite meet all the check marks. We came back inside and discussed why and how our ideas have changed.
We concluded the afternoon evaluating our Ukraine powerpoint. We learned that many were not quite there. We will be using the same program to compare life in our school versus that of another around the world. We spend quite a bit of time creating criteria and discussing what we wanted to add to our new presentations.
Reminders:
Photo day May 4.
Have a wonderful day.
