We've been discussing 'deconstructing' and 'reconstructing' through learning about character, setting, problem, and solution. The students began this journal through analyzing Frindle, then The One and Only Ivan, and now Pixar short films including La Luna. Their work is truly becoming extraordinary!
In math, we analyzed our data from our frisbee experiment. They were tasked with a very difficult question: How many throws would it take to throw your frisbee 100 meters? This is not finished. We'll have to return to it tomorrow!
Tomorrow we are excited to continue our work with hearing and sound, where we will use visual representing to diagram the inner ear.
Reminders:
1. This is a new reminder... Can you please save all of your small lids? We're looking for milk jug lids, spaghetti jar lids, etc. If you could clean them and send them to school, we will use them to build different things!
2. There is no school on Friday (PD Day) or Monday (Thanks Giving).
Question of the Day:
In The One and Only Ivan, Stella tells Ivan, "There's a difference between can't remember rand won't remember."
What do you think that means?
