I've never been more impressed by this group of students. While completing a ton of projects (art, poetry, letters) for the Remembrance Day assembly, every student worked at their own pace and got their work completed. If you are able to come on Thursday you will be treated to a very thoughtful presentation.
We also spent some time creating posters for the Veteran's food bank. After reading an article online, the students carefully crafted some posters to encourage the entire school to bring in non-perishables for the food bank.
Tomorrow will be another busy, busy day! The students are going to use addition with regrouping and base-10 blocks to battle monsters of various sizes. They will also be completing their run-through for the Remembrance Day assembly.
Reminders:
1. Please bring nonperishable food for the food drive
2. Please remember that the Remembrance Day Assembly is on Thursday at 10am. Students should wear read, black, and white.
All the best,
Mr. MacKenzie
