What is a 4? What is a 1? Today the students teamed up to begin generating journal pages to represent each. In other words, they had to create a collaborative journal page at a '1' level. Tomorrow, they will continue by generating journal pages at a 2, 3, and a 4. These journal pages will then be sorted and organized and displayed so that the students can clearly see if they are just starting (at a 1) or if they still have room to grow (a 4).
The students spent more time finalizing their orders for the Learning Commons. They each had a $200 budget and could either exhaust their funds or purchase 12 items from the Scholastic Catalogue. Each student did very well!
Tomorrow we are very excited to return to building visual journal pages and starting to look at soil!
Reminders:
1. Field trip forms need to be returned immediately. Children have been sent home with new copies if they have not yet returned them.
2. Report card envelopes are due back as well.
3. We are going to the Music Centre in the East Villiage on Monday the 16th.
All the best,
Mr. MacKenzieo
