The second try at our Geocaching went very well this afternoon! The students are learning to build criteria and use it to help set their next steps. After looking at a series of maps, the students determined that good maps include everything listed below.
Today, the students also added details to their letters to a soldier. We reviewed the learning that happened with our special presentation on Friday, learned to edit documents in Google Docs, and continued our thinking around what 'Peace is...'.
Tomorrow the students are going to battle some bosses... Let me explain! In math they spent some time building monsters, and today they collected as many monsters as they could. To collect the monsters, the students had to complete a chart that showed the value of the hundreds, the tens, and the ones. Then they needed to build a number to express the total value of the monster... They can explain it to you if that doesn't make sense! Every student was successful.
Reminders:
1. Please have your child bring food for the food bank. Our grade 3 classes will be completing math tasks with the donated goods.
2. On Thursday at 10 we will have the Remembrance Day Assembly. Please have your child wear black, red, and white.
Have a great night!
