With our art projects complete, we used the left-over pieces of glass to create something special for an upcoming special (wink wink). I was happy to see that the students were able to plan, design, and execute their own mosaic design. They look truly excellent. Tomorrow we'll be grouting them.
Working on the 'interactive' elements for our journal pages wound up being very successful. It is interesting to see what the students believe the most important parts of the Trout Life Cycle are. I am particularly impressed at their ability to synthesize and categorize information.
Tomorrow will be another busy day. In a recent assessment, the students demonstrated that they struggle with sorting and organizing fractions on a number line. That assessment has shown us the next steps for our learning! Tomorrow the students will go through some tasks and challenges that will help them with this understanding.
Have an excellent night, I can't wait to get started again tomorrow!
