Using non-fiction text features to strategically hunt down specific information can be daunting. On Friday the students chose an animal or insect to research about each stage of the life cycle. Today, students began researching through scanning the table of contents to find the appropriate page. There was resounding success with this, throughout the classroom. The sheet they are using for their research can be found on our Science blog, here.
Students completed their second iterations of their Social Studies magazine pages. They will be up on IRIS on Wednesday, along with the rubric and the criteria they were assessed on. I strongly encourage you to have your child log in at home so you can go through their work with them!
Tomorrow will be a big day. We begin our Tennis lessons in gym today, and we will continue our work with the Artist in Residence. The mosaics are coming along nicely!
Notices:
1. Scholastic went home today. They are due on Friday if you're looking to purchase books.
2. The artist in residence ends at the end of this week.
3. Tennis will go for the next three weeks.
Have an outstanding evening!
