Today was full! We began the day classifying minerals as a Geologist would do. The students completed a number of tests and compared their results to a key. It was wonderful to see that all of the students were able to identyify each rock!
To wind down the morning, we continued reading a short story by Bruce Coville and used subtraction skills to create an order form for books from Scholastic. The students really had to push their understanding of subtraction, and had lots of fun choosing books for the Learning Commons!
Tomorrow will be a busy day again, as the students spend some time building on their IRIS goals and adding details about their Map Trap page.
Reminders:
1. Please bring back the field trip forms to the Music Centre ASAP. There are still 11 out, and we need them all as soon as possible.
2. Please bring back the envelopes that the reportcards were in.
3. Scholastic orders are going out on Friday afternoon. Please have any orders returned to the school as soon as possible.
