Yesterday in math students began talking about division! We discussed how division is putting things into equal groups, and made the connection to fractions. Today students were challenged in math to think about division in a new way. I asked students, if they had 24 cookies, would it be better to have 2/4 of the cookies, or 4/6? Students used division and multiplication to put the cookies into equal groups, and decide which fraction is larger. Ask your student how confident they feel with these questions, and which fraction is larger!
This afternoon we had music with Mrs. Henderson, and continued working hard on some songs for the musical. Then we tried some new gymnastics challenges in gym!
