Good afternoon families,
Today we began our day classifying several pictures of animals and sorting them into different groups based on different characteristics. Ask me how many ways my group and I sorted our animals. Can I think of any other ways we could have sorted them?
Next we continued writing our "Guess my animal" poems from yesterday. Ask me what I wrote and if anyone could guess my animal!
Then we spent some time playing the great apes survival game that was created by Mrs. Watkins' friend in the U.S. Ask me how this game worked and who won! What did I learn about great ape survival from this game. Several students said they wanted to show their parents the game so here is a link if you would like to check it out or order one... I will be ordering one for myself!

After snack we had gym. Ask me what we learned about ALS today. Below is a little information about the walk for ALS on June 1st. Check it out!
After lunch we continued working on our amazing self portraits inspired by Canadian artist Sanda Silzberweig. Ask me what shapes, lines, animals and colours I included in my portrait and why.
We had a special presentation by Miss Nicole the OT all about our transition to middle school next year. Ask me what we learned today and what activities we did as a group to prepare us for next year. We will meet once a week with Nicole for the next three weeks to help students ask questions they are worried about. Please ask me if there is anything I am worried about for next year.
