Good afternoon families,
Today we began our day with our weekly spelling test. Ask me how many words I got correct today. Did I bring home my new words list?
Next Miss Tennis brought in a special surprise from the pond in High River near the house she grew up in. She spent Saturday catching tadpoles in a big bucket and brought them to our classroom! We spent the morning building habitats using plant materials from the original pond/habitat. Why is it important to incorporate naturally occurring materials into the habitat in captivity? Why is it important to only use water from the pond in the habitat in captivity?
We had music with Mrs. Hordyk's class. Ask me what we learned in music today.
In math Miss Tennis made 10 different shapes out of masking tape on the floor tiles. We used measuring tapes to determine the perimeter and area of each shape. Then identified the number of sides and what shape it was. Ask me how many shapes I finished today.
In outdoor gym we played ultimate frisbee with Mr. MacKenzie's class. Ask me who was on my team and how many points we got.
We ended the day typing our non-fiction paragraphs or researching a new animal on power knowledge. Ask me what I learned from my research today.
- Miss Tennis
Reminders:
- Handbells are tomorrow!
- Please bring back recorders for our music class on Friday!
