Happy Friday!!
We began our day writing cursive letters to our wonderful parents about our week! Please make sure you write me back with some feedback on my cursive writing skills.
Next we finished creating our tennis ball people! Ask me what materials I used to add details to my tennis ball person!
After snack we prepared our questions for our skype interview with Craig and Meagan, the creators of the Great Apes Survival Game. Ask me what questions our class asked the creators. Please check out the website http://myplacecalledhome.com/ if you would like more information about the game or would like to purchase one for your family!
We ended the day with gym. Ask me what we learned in gym today.
Have lovely weekend! We will see you all on Monday at Fish Creek Park for our mosaic art unveiling!

Reminders:
- Please return yellow notebooks with feedback on your child's cursive writing!
- Last day to sign out books from the learning commons is June 8th. All books need to be returned by Friday June 16th!

Evergreen for ALS
Our school is participating in a community walk to support the ALS Society of Alberta on Thursday, June 1, 2017. This is a cause that has directly impacted our school this year. Approximately 3 000 Canadians live with ALS. There is no known cause or cure for this devastating disease - yet.
All proceeds from our walk will stay in Alberta to make each day the best possible day for people living with and affected by ALS. Please use the link below if you would like to make an online donation. Our School ALS Donation Page with the ALS Society of Alberta: EVERGREEN FOR ALS . We thank you for your support!
Parents and community members are invited to join us at Evergreen School on Thursday June 1st from 6:00pm to 7:00pm for an informative session with Dr. Lawrence Korngut. Dr. Korngut will be sharing information about ALS and current promising research. Dr. Korngut is a neurologist at the Calgary Neuromuscular Clinic and is the Director of the Calgary ALS and Motor Neuron Disease Clinic. His research includes clinical trials of new therapies for neuromuscular conditions. Please RSVP to this event before May 25th at [email protected]
