Students are continuing to experiment with different materials in art. A few weeks back, the students created portraits with water color, this time, however, they supplemented them with some cartoon expressions using Sharpies. There are a couple of them below. This is the first iteration of this project... So we will be doing it again after discussing what separates a regular cartoon from a great cartoon.
Students also spent some time learning basketball skills today in gym class. They have a number of challenges and skills to practice - if you have a ball kicking around you should see if they can lay down and stand up while bouncing a ball!
Tomorrow the students are going to embody robots to learn how to think like a computer programmer. They will use sticky notes to program each other to solve certain tasks.
Reminders and Notes:
1. On of our students is missing his favorite hockey stick. If it's gone home with anyone by mistake it will be a huge relief to get it back tomorrow!
2. Pictures went home today. So did the retakes.
