Today was jam-packed. The students built structures that could stand up on their own, they wrote a story, completed a new journal page, and experimented with Explain Everything (an iPad app they will be returning to throughout the year).
Using Explain Everything, they were able to pull out chosen criteria, and connect that criteria with their work. For example, they may have chosen to discuss the importance of using flow charts, and then described what their flow chart means within their visual journal page.
The students also wrote a story connected to a story plan they have been working on. It will be interesting to read their drafts tonight!
