Today in Science we built tall structures out of two materials, spaghetti noodles and marshmallows. As a class we concluded that if we were to complete this task again we would use different materials, like, toothpicks, popsicle sticks, glue, or tape, because the noodles were too fragile and the marshmallows were not firm enough. In Social Studies we finished writing our paragraphs about India, they look great!
Tomorrow in Science we will be finishing our instructions, the last step of this process will have the students self-assess their work in accordance with the criteria they created. In Social Studies, students will be picking a country they would like to research for their National Geographic magazine pages. In Math students will continue to learn about fractions.
Reminders:
1. Fish Creek field trip forms need to be returned
2. Dr. Slomp's consent forms need to be returned
Have a great evening,
Mr. MacKenzie and Ms. Kerner
