The students wrote virtue poems today. After brainstorming words such as love, happiness, belonging, and honor, the students began crafting their work. You will see this work displayed on our Language Arts blog and on the big screen when we put on the Remembrance Day assembly.
The students also began writing letters to the soldiers today. They will be greeting by a soldier within the next two weeks, and they will be presenting their letters to a soldier at the Remembrance Day assembly. We are trying very hard to have them be thoughtful and respectful in their writing.
Tomorrow the students are going to be working on their Virtue Poetry. They will type up a good copy into Google Docs, print it out, and use a material of their choice (oil or chalk pastel, pencil crayons, or water color) to develop their poster.
Reminders:
1. Please return picture orders ASAP.
2. Please bring back Scholastic orders by Friday next week.
3. Please remember that students should wear their costumes on Halloween, not tomorrow (even though the dance is tomorrow in the afternoon!).
All the best,
Mr. MacKenzie
