** "It will be destroyed!" **
That was the message that was drilled into their heads prior to building our structure outside near the playground yesterday! It was a good lesson in reseliency as they watched it being destroyed, built up, and destroyed again!
The students created numbers up to 1-thousand today, and then added them, subtracted them, and organized them to solve a number of problems. The students used their prior knowledge connected to place value, building numbers, and computation to come up with solutions.
During Science the students completed a four today. Their conversations were incredible! "No! We can't write that sentence... How can we make it more specific and interesting??" is an example of the type thinking that was taking place.
Tomorrow we will be having our spelling test.
Reminders:
1. NEW Field trip forms. On the 30th we'll be going to Fish Creek. Please have those forms brough back asap.
2. If you are willing to volunteer, please send me an email ([email protected]).
3. Please return the report card envelopes.
Have an excellent evening!
