What an encredible day. The students used their previously co-developed Non-Fiction Rubrics to complete a self-reflection and a peer assessment on their Rock Cycle Journal page. This is very helpful for their learning as they will immediately know what they need to do next when we begin again on Monday, and they have reviewed the criteria for success.
The students also completed their spelling tests. Please be prepared that a number of students will be practicing the same words for a second week. The routine is that students have their spelling tests on the last day of the week and on the back of their test are the new words for the upcoming week. If they have lost their words, I have included the spelling words for next week below.
Next we are going to continue our study of watercolour and sharpies. We had used them to create cartoon portraits, but now we are blending science and art to create some unique artwork.
Reminders:
1. No school tomorrow.
All the best,
Mr. MacKenzie
