Today the students examined using 'action' to draw the reader in, and they practiced with writing of their own. The students described a scene from Alice in Wonderland where she was nervously tip-toeing past a giant gate. The students needed to use action words to make their writing interesting. The students also put their musical instruments up on IRIS. To see their instruments, have them log in to IRIS. They were expected to discuss 'What?', 'So What?', and 'Now What?' of their learning.
Tomorrow is a big day. We are going to be practicing for the Remembrance Day Assembly in November.
Reminders:
1. If you are able to donate some snacks for our celebration of learning on Monday next week, please send me an email.
2. Check IRIS with your child.
3. Halloween will be celebrated on Monday. Learning will be as usual, with the exception of our celebration at the end. There should be no weapons, no gore, and nothing that will scare the kindergarteners.
All the best,
Mr. MacKenzie
