Welcome back! To kick off being back at school we started a new unit in Science, Animal Life Cycles. To begin the unit we looked at animals and species that have become extinct, then, determined what caused them to become extinct. In Math we reviewed how to read the time on a clock, practicing through games. In Social Studies the students picked a new topic to research, creating three specific questions about that topic to learn about tomorrow. The students also received this weeks spelling words today, they are also posted below to practice at home.
Tomorrow in Science students will continue to learn about animal life cycles, reviewing what we learned about extinction today. In Social Studies students will use the computers to find answers to the questions they developed today, in preparation for paragraph writing.
Reminders:
1. Knitting Club begins tomorrow at lunch, forms and money must be handed in ASAP.
2. Students were sent home with field trip forms for the Bow Habitat, the field trip is for next Monday, April 10th, 2017, forms need to returned.
3. We need volunteers for our field trip to the Bow Habitat, please email Mr.MacKenzie if you are able to volunteer.
