This morning, we worked on Alphabetizing books in the library. Ask me what we did.
Today, we had a wonderful presentation! We had Jenny come in to talk to the children about geology! We had the opportunity to learn from an expert in the field of rocks and minerals. Ask me how I made my rock, and how we simulated oil exploration. What an amazing presenter!
We learned about rounding numbers, and had some time to add and subtract some rounding numbers. We had some scholastic orders to work with, and pretended that we had $60 to spend. We looked at using various strategies, such a adding up, or subtracting down. Ask me what strategies we used.
We had outdoor gym. Ask me what we played.
We finished "The One and Only Ivan" today. Ask me how the story ends :)
It is that time of year again to start going through your child's toys and books. Please send in any gently used toys and/or books starting on November 21. We will also accept cash donations. All of the money raised this year will be used to purchase backpacks filled with items like books, toothbrushes, and toys for children that live on the streets in Calgary.
