Dear Families,
It is amazing how quickly the time is passing.
Today during our writing lesson, we discussed how many of our words are "shut the book". In their groups, students rotated around words, creating new juicy words. These words are then being put together to create our class thesaurus.
After looking at various maps yesterday, examining satellite maps from last week, and creating a list of criteria of what is included in a map, students created their own detailed drawing of the classroom. We will be using the criteria throughout the year. We will also be using the classroom map as a starting point. At the end, we will look back at their maps and reflect how they have grown.
Question of the day:
What are better word choices for said?
Have a great night!
