Dear Families,
Today was jammed pack!
This morning in math, we started off by playing a I have who has game. We timed ourselves and tried to do it the quickest. Students were also given base ten blocks and asked to create their own version of a monster. After building the monsters, students were required to determine the value of their base ten blocks. This was a great opportunity to teach them about what happens when we get to 10 tens, which is 1000. Tomorrow we will continue building different objects and determining their value.
In the afternoon, students has Science with Miss Tennis, they looked at different instruments and investigated how they produce different sounds or pitches.
If you child has not brought their "Me in a bag", I encourage them to do so. Its a great time to get to know them outside of the classroom.
