What a busy day!
This morning we completed our math assessment focusing on multiplication, division and fractions. We shared the different strategies and how multiplication and division are related.
This afternoon, we explored how to create a news report. We are going to be taking our jot notes about Machu Picchu and creating a news video clip. Some things we talked about were:
Where do people get their information?
How do they decide what's important?
We finished the afternoon with our final structures of our challenge. Students worked in groups using the same materials and criteria. They did amazing! Almost all the structures lasted the earthquake. Students measured their structures and gave feedback about what makes a strong structure. Ask your child what two factors impact the stability of a structure.
Tomorrow we are skating. Please bring your materials.
