Good afternoon families,
Today we began our day with 3 morning math problems. Ask me how I solved these problems. How did I know which operation to use to solve it?
Then Mrs. Smith came to help us reflect on our goals we set earlier this term. Ask me what goals I set and what I reflected on in my IRIS account.
After recess we had snack and began reading our new novel "Fourth Grade Nothing".
Then we went to the learning commons "arcade" set up by the grade three coding club. Ask me which games I tried. Which one was my favourite and why?
Then we continued creating our endangered animals board games. Ask me how far my group and I got today. Did we begin designing the permanent game board?
After lunch we typed our habitat statements then emailed Miss Tennis when we were finished. Only 9 students finished and printed their habitat writing today. Did I use my time wisely? Did I choose a good place to work that helped me focus and get my task completed?
We ended the day with gym and music. Ask me what I learned in gym and music today.

Reminders:
- Students earned a full jar of jewels and have their final "free board game Friday" tomorrow! Please send your child with their favourite board game to teach their friends!
- Today a permission slip was sent home.This blue form needs to be returned if your child wishes to watch Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on Wednesday June 28th. If your child does not return the form they will head to another classroom for an alternate activity while the class watches the film. We will be comparing and contrasting the film to the book. Please return these forms tomorrow or Monday!
- June 29th is our last day of school. It will be an outdoor Sports Day! Please ensure your child dresses for the weather and wears sunscreen. It will be a half day. Dismissal is at 11:20 am.
