Happy Monday!
Today was a high energy day, it is easy to see everyone is excited for summer break! :)
We began our day with our spelling test! We got our final words list today. How many words did I spell correctly?
Next we had math. We reviewed some strategies we use for division. Then solved some division problems in our workbooks. Ask me to show you how I solve division questions.
After recess we had snack and read some more from our Fourth Grade Rats book. Ask me how the main character is feeling when his friend Joey makes him "become a fourth grade rat". Does he like treating others the way Joey tells him to? What is the main problem in the story? Does he want to give up his current way of life and follow how others live their lives? How do you think the story is going to end?
Then we finished writing and began typing our animal habitat descriptions. Ask me how many paragraphs I wrote and what I wrote about.
After lunch we sketched our tadpoles and said goodbye! Some of the tadpoles have grown legs so it is time for them to go back to their pond in High River. Ask me if my group's tadpole grew legs or not. What stage were they at in the life cycle?
Then we watched a video about school in Peru! Ask me what school in the villages of Peru look like. What is different from school in Canada? What is the same?
We had outdoor gym and played kickball today! Ask me who was on my team.
We ended the day creating the silhouettes for our Harry Potter pictures! Ask me if I sketched a castle or quidditch court.
