Today in writing students used their senses to describe a dark, spooky alley that they were "walking through". We discussed how students should "show", rather than "tell" in their writing. There are examples below.
Math was exceptional today! The room was busy with active learning as some students ran the marketplace and others purchased items for their rooms. This should prepare them for the upcoming assessment tomorrow.
The grade 1 team has asked us to give you the following information:
It's that time of year again...the Grade 1s will be putting on a Used Toy and Book Sale to help raise money to fill backpacks for children in need throughout the Calgary area. We will be collecting gently used toys and books starting December 1-3. The sale will be held all day on December 4 ending at 4:00. If you would like to come check out the sale after school you are more than welcome. We will also have a donation jar if you do not have any items for the sale. The grade 1s thank you for your support!
Please check out Stephen's Backpack Society for more information at http://www.stephensbackpacks.com
Have an outstanding evening!
