Hello Parents,
Room 52 (named Peru) and Room 53 (named Tunisia) worked extremely hard and surpassed expectations in a number subjects. In math they constructed and deconstructed 2 and 3-digit numbers which will help them regroup in addition and subtraction in the near future.
We modelled and created a Repetitive Story with a predictable pattern which allowed us to not only assess their current understanding, but to show off their writing. We'll take this a step forward tomorrow as we walk around the school and create a story as we go.
Please ask your child(ren) about the fire drill today. Our students are asked to follow a predictable set of expectations, the 4 'S'es:
Safe
Silent
Serious
Single file
We ask that students follow these so we can keep them as safe as possible.
Also, please remind your children that we will be having our first spelling test tomorrow!
Have a wonderful evening,
Mr. MacKenzie
Mrs. Hordyk
