Fish Creek is beautiful. Flowers were in full bloom, deer were grazing, baby ducks were floating, and insects were buzzing. The kids were absolutely outstanding as we walked the pathways for our scavenger hunt. When students are so taken by a place that conversation stops and sensory observations take over, teachers and students feel completely at ease. After the scavenger hunt, kids snacked and contemplated independently, alone in nature, through writing and drawing.
We made it back in time for lunch, which allowed us to use the afternoon to work on our artwork and our scavenger hunt showcases. The students became deeply engaged in their work, and impressively mixed their colors and painted their work.
Upcoming Dates:
Friday, June 26: This is our last day of school. The kids will go home with their report cards at the end of the day.
Question of the Day:
What was the most memorable part of your trip to Fish Creek?
Mrs. Hordyk
Mr. MacKenzie
