Today half of the kids did a self-reflection in IRIS on their poster project, while the other half stayed back to build with a variety of materials and to test designs. During both of these lessons we worked on asking questions that evoked a deeper understanding and that enticed them to take chances in their learning.
Oh, and the ultimate prize in curling, The Tankard, made an appearance in our classroom! We discovered that Team Alberta was engraved on there over 50 times! This trophy should excite the kids (even more) as we head to the Brier on Thursday, March 4th.
Speaking of the Brier, please return the forms as soon as possible, we want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to participate in this rich, Canadian experience!
Question of the Day:
If you could do your Tunisian posters again, what would you do differently?
Sincerely,
Mrs. Hordyk
Mr. MacKenzie
