The grade fours explored palindromes today in math. These are numbers that are the same backward as they are forward. Any non-palindrome (i.e. 13) can be turned into a palindrome following a simple formula. Ask your students how to do this!
This afternoon we looked closely at the water sources within our Alberta regions. Students started to identify their water bodies, name them using actual bodies of water in Alberta and determine where they come from and where they go. Tomorrow we will look at why the colors of water bodies in Alberta vary and begin to paint our landforms.
Question of the Day: Can you find the corresponding palindrome for the number 89? How many steps did it take you to get there?
