Good afternoon,
As some reminders, student portrait proofs have gone home and the deadline for order forms is May 24. There is also a notice (purple sheet) that went home regarding the Evergreen School Running Club and, if your learner is participating, please have the signed permission form returned by this Thursday, May 19. Lastly, the final day of Cross Fit will be May 26 at 8:00am.
For today, learners made some excellent strides in their Literature Circles. Learners are working in the following roles: Discussion Director, Artist, Passage Master, Blogger, Connector. Some pertinent areas for learners to consider are:
How has my role in the group contributed towards my understanding of the book we are currently reading?
What have I learned from those in my group who are approaching the book from different roles?
Communicate your understanding of something you have read at home through the lens, or from the perspective, of your role.
Learners worked on their Visual Journal entries today in order to enrich the details of their activities in the Bicycle Stations. The image to the right broadly illustrates some the key elements that learners are striving to include in their entries.
Thanks,
Mr. Smith.
